  43. 1. Purpose
  44.  
  45. This program supplements the communications program Telemate by
  46. adding additional Alarm Songs to be played when you connect to a
  47. BBS, or finish (or abort) a download or upload.
  48.  
  49. The TMInst.Exe program which comes with Telemate allows you to
  50. select from among 19 Alarm Songs.  TMusic adds 34 more Alarm
  51. Songs.

  53. The author of TMusic is not associated with the author of
  54. Telemate.  Both Telemate and TMusic are Shareware, however, I
  55. suggest that you register Telemate BEFORE you register TMusic.

  61. 2. Why register?
  62.  
  63. In the Shareware version of TMusic, all features of the
  64. registered version are enabled.  However, there is an opening
  65. screen on which you must press a function key to continue, and a
  66. delay on exiting the program.
  67.  
  68. Registration costs $8.00, and entitles you to continue using the
  69. program after you have tried it out.  You will be able to skip
  70. the opening screen, and there will be no wait to read the
  71. shareware message on exiting the program.  See the file
  72. ORDERFRM.TXT for more details.  Make checks payable to James T.
  73. Henry III.  If you are outside the U.S., please use a money
  74. order.

  76. In TMusic 1.0 and 1.1, unregistered users could not install all
  77. of the songs in Telemate.  This has been changed.  You can
  78. install any of the 34 songs in Telemate whether you are
  79. registered or not.

  161. TMUSIC12.ARJ (or .ZIP or .LZH or whatever).

  163. The file TMUSIC.CFG, which is created when you save your
  164. configuration options, should *not* be distributed when you give
  165. copies of the shareware version to others.

  171. 4. Distribution policy

  174.      To Uploaders, BBS Sysops, User Groups, and Disk Vendors
  175.  
  176. The Shareware version of TMusic can be distributed by anyone as
  177. long as no charge is made for it.

  179. The registered version cannot be distributed by anyone except by
  180. special arrangement with the author.  Write for terms.
  181.  
  182. The Shareware version cannot be sold for money or any other
  183. consideration except with written permission from the author. 
  184. For permission to sell copies of the Shareware version of TMusic,
  185. write and please send a copy of your catalog.  If I am satisfied
  186. with your explanation of the nature of Shareware and that users
  187. must register with the author if they continue to use the program
  188. after trying it out awhile, I will give permission.

  190. The Shareware version of TMusic should be distributed in an
  191. archive which *must* contain all sixty-six of the files listed in
  192. section 3 above, and no others.  The archive format (.ARJ, .ZIP,
  193. .LZH etc.) is not important.
